5 Peaks Challenge

Today I completed the 5 peaks challenge. Mission trails has a series of hiking trails that includes 5 mountains. Last year I hiked the first peak; Kway Paay. Last Monday I hiked two more; North Fortuna and South Fortuna. Today I hiked the last two; Cowles and Pyles. You can earn a certificate and a pin by sending photos from top of each peak to the park rangers. I now have to pick up the certificate.

Magic Mountain

Since we were in the area for Spartan, we decided to spend a day at Magic Mountain. Jason and I were there many years ago, but we've never taken the kids. They loved all the huge roller coasters. We all rode together. It wasn't much more for an annual pass for all of 2019, so we got one. We'll have to go back to ride some of the roller coasters we missed.

Spartan Castaic Lake

This weekend we made the 3-hour drive to Castaic Lake so the kids could complete their Spartan trifecta. They both completed one race in October and two races today. Unfortunately, they ran out of trifecta medals, so they should be mailing them to us.

It was very hard to be a spectator, and not participate in the race, but I am glad we were able to support the kids.

After the race, the girls went shopping at the outlets. Kailani found a lot at Lululemon.

On our ride up, we stopped at Olive Garden for dinner.

Tiki Hike

Today the kids joined me on a Tiki Hike, one of our favorite spots to celebrate birthdays.

Holiday Baking

We were putting together a holiday cook book for work that required photos. The kids helped me make pumpkin roll. They enjoy baking.

Tonight we celebrated our Ragnar accomplishments.

Family Art Night

Every year, Heritage hosts Family Art Night for the kids and their families. This year, Zach and I attended and painted a penguin.

Rainbow Warriors

Tonight we went to the University of Hawaii-San Diego State football game. Hawaii is here every other year, and we like to go support the theme. We expected SDSU to win, but UH pulled it out 31-30 in overtime.
