Yesterday afternoon Kailani and I picked up her Girl Scout cookies. She was able to start selling at 9am this morning. We filled up the wagon and headed out to walk around the neighborhood. So far she sold 18 boxes and raised a few dollars for Operation Thin Mint. Her goal is at least 200 boxes, which is what she sold last year.

Over the Years
I love doing the comparison of events we participate in year after year. We started the Legoland Marathon Mile in 2008!

Legoland Marathon Mile
I've been sick with an upper respiratory infection for the passed few days. I literally didn't move from the couch in two days. I took the kids to school and took the time to rest. Today I am feeling better than I have been, but still have a bad cold. Although I am still not feeling 100%, I didn't want to miss the kids running in the Legoland Marathon Mile. Just like last year, it was raining. After the race, we decided to go home because of how I am feeling and the yucky weather.

Disney on Ice
Tonight we went to see Disney on Ice at the Sports Arena. We had gotten free tickets from donating toys to AJ's Kids Crane before Christmas. The kids were very excited. Zachary wanted to be "in" Disney on Ice. The show was Treasure Trove and it was about the stories of Cinderella, The Princess and the Frog, and Tangled. We had a good time.

Another Round
Today we tried taekwondo again. Zachary did much better from the start and was able to focus and follow directions well. He was so excited to be able to participate in the class. He got the white pants and shirt to wear, but the instructor told him he had to do well in the class to earn the belt (white). He did a pretty good job in the class. A few times the instructor had to go closer to him to show him what he should be doing. He had a hard time doing what the instructor was doing just by looking. When another instructor came over closer to him and helped him, he did better. Unfortunately, we aren't going to be able to go to another class this week because of my work schedule. Hopefully we'll get back again next week.

Tiny Tigers
A few months ago at one of Kailani's school events, Zachary won a coupon for a free martial arts class at Pride. Zachary expressed interest in trying karate, so I called to schedule the free class. We had to arrive a few minutes before the start time of the class so Zachary could work one-on-one with one of the instructors. The kids need to show they can listen and follow directions before they are allowed to take the class. The class he would be in is called Tiny Tigers. It's actually taekwondo.
At first, Zachary was very clingy and didn't want to do much. When he found out he was going to punch and kick things, he opened up a little. He was still a little clingy, so the instructor suggested he watch the class for a while and try more in a few minutes. When he came back to get Zachary he wasn't interested in doing anything; he wanted to be in the class. The instructor told him he needed to show him he could listen before going into the class. He was good for about 5-10 minutes, following the instructor's lead. Although he warmed up a little at the end, the instructor said he would like Zachary to come back tomorrow for more one-on-one before going into a class. We watched the rest of the class and when we left, Zachary cried. He was so sad that he didn't get to participate in the class. I felt terrible, but I understand why he didn't get to participate and I think it's good the way they do this. One of the parents who was watching his children in the class said it took a few months of one-on-one before his kids were ready for the class. I hope Zachary gets to participate soon. They want him to come in before the 3pm class because it's the smallest class, but I can't keep leaving work to do that. I'll have to see if they'll let him come in later in the day otherwise we'll have to find something else.

Downtown Disney
On our final day at Disneyworld, we slept in a little and hung out at the hotel playground for a while.
We went to one of the miniature golf courses and played a round of golf.
Then, we decided to go back to Downtown Disney to get souvenirs. We had planned on going to Seaworld, but it was supposed to rain. It turned out to be a beautiful day and we had a nice time at Downtown Disney.
We headed back to the hotel to get packed up for our 5:15am flight out on Monday morning. Here are the kids in bed with the new quilts Nana made for them.

Hollywood Studios
Our final day at the parks was at Hollywood Studios. The kids were really excited because they were able to see some Disney Junior characters like Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Special Agent Oso, Little Einsteins, etc. Hopefully soon they will have Doc McStuffins.
We had lunch with the Disney Junior characters too.

Animal Kingdom
Today we visited the Animal Kingdom. Unfortunately, it rained most of the day, but we were still able to see most of the park.
We had lunch with the characters at the Tusker House restaurant.
We stayed at the park until closing and we still didn't get to see everything. We decided to end the night with dinner at The Rainforest Cafe.

Magic Kingdom
Today we spent the day at the Magic Kingdom. We had reservations for a character breakfast at The Crystal Palace. We got to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends.
It started raining before the end of the night, so we decided to head back to the hotel room.
