Supporting a fellow Rebel Mom who lost her 17-year old daughter suddenly to suicide.

Girls movie night...Aquaman

Aloha Spirit

A few weeks ago, Kailani was asked to switch cheer teams. The youth team needed some strong bases, so Kailani moved over to help them out. They had to become a Junior team since Kailani is 12. A youth team is for 11 and under.

This weekend we made the 5-hour drive to Visalia for the Aloha Spirit Cheer competition. This was the first competition of the season. Although the girls scored high, unfortunately, they came in 4th place (out of 4 teams).

Zero deductions!

We found another Heat team!

 Snow on the mountains!

Blue Senior

Earlier this month, Zachary joined the leadership program at Pride. He can attend unlimited classes including leadership, belt classes, sparring, hyper fight, etc. Now he can wear a fancy uniform personalized with his name.

This month, Zachary earned his Blue Senior belt!

He also got a "splits club" patch.

He also participated in another ATA tournament.

Carlsbad Double Down

Today I ran the Carlsbad 1/2 marathon. Becky hasn't completed the triple crown (3 specific 1/2 marathons), so I decided to do it with her this year. I did the triple crown in 2016, but haven't been able to do it since because cheer always conflicted.

At the Carlsbad race, there was an opportunity to "double down." I ran the 5K, and then immediately ran the 1/2 marathon; a total of 16.2 miles.

Mission Trails

The kids are still on winter break, so they went with me to the Mission Trails Visitor Center to collect my "5 Peaks Challenge" certificate. We spent some time walking on the trails.
