Oakoasis

We finished out 2017 with a short hike and some good company.

After the hike we headed to Barona Casino for some lunch. We wished our friend Maureen a "Happy Birthday!"

Brews and Beers

Last night we met up with some of the #RebelMoms and #RebelKids and went ice skating. The kids had a blast and can't wait to go again.

Tonight we had a couples night out in downtown Chula Vista. They are doing a lot of work to revive the city. Several breweries recently opened up on 3rd avenue and we decided to check them out.

The kids stayed at Becky's house with her older son while we went out. They didn't want to leave, so they both slept over! They made breakfast in the morning.

Holiday Bowl

Tonight we went to the Holiday Bowl at SDCCU Stadium. Michigan State beat Washington State 42-17. Jason and I went to a Holiday Bowl shortly after we moved to San Diego, but this was the first time for the kids. They went to the Poinsettia Bowl a few years ago.

Universal Studios

We wanted to do something different over the holidays, so we decided to take a trip to Universal Studios. Jason and I had been there years ago and the kids have never been.

 We visited Harry Potter World and tried butterbeer.

We drove up bright and early. It was a very busy day, so we didn't get to go on every ride or see many shows. We did get a 9-month pass, so hopefully we'll make it back soon.'

We finished off the night with dinner at Bubba Gump at City Walk.

Tee's Glow Party

Tonight we celebrated Tee's birthday with a glow party at Sky Zone. This one was for the moms only!

Santa Cow

Today we started off our day with some Chick fil A for breakfast. We ran into the Santa Cow!

Heat Christmas Party

Tonight was our Heat Christmas party. The girls had a fun gift exchange...once they started stealing from each other.

It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas...

I feel like every year we pull the Christmas stuff out later and later. We finally dug it out and added some Christmas cheer to the house!

 

Kailani built a model of the Sydney Opera House. Emily sent it to her from Australia. We're really hoping to make it there one day.

 The kids tried to eat all of the Christmas cookies before Jason got home from work!

 We love our animals!

 I had my work Christmas meeting. I always have to laugh when we do these!
