Random Happenings in June

This week Zach participated in Gold Rush Day at school. It sounds like such a fun event. Kailani didn't get to do this when she was in 4th grade.

I ran the Rock n Roll Half Marathon this week. This is my fifth year running this race (2 relays, 2 half marathons, and 1 full marathon), but the only year that I didn't also run the 5K the day before (remix challenge).

Jason and Zach went to all of the Phillies games this week. Kailani and I were unable to make any of them due to cheer and work.

Wild Horse 10K

Today we ran the Wild Horse 10K. I didn't sign up in time, so I didn't get a bib. But...I ended up running for someone else who was hurt. This is nice run because it's right in our back yard!

Red Belt

Today Zach earned his red belt! Kids who attended two weeks of summer camp had the opportunity to test for their next belt at the end of the second week.

Brown Senior

Another belt for Zach! He tested this week and earned his brown senior belt. He will attend two weeks of camp this summer, and will be eligible for the next belt after camp. By the end of June, he should be a red belt. After that is recommended black belt, and black belt. He may be a black belt by the end of the year!

New Home

Last weekend, we decided to take a walk through some model homes for a new development they are building right near us. We fell in love with the homes! Fast forward two weeks...we've already sold our house and our purchase on a new home is pending.

Zach found his room!

Closing will be on our current house in July. We will rent the house back from the new owners for a month to give us a little more time. We will probably have to stay in a hotel for a few weeks until the new house is ready. Originally, it was supposed to be ready in August, but not it's September.

Here is a look at the model home that sold it for us:) Although the pictures in this listing are of the model home, the listing is for our home. 993 Camino Cantera

When we signed all of our contracts, Jason and I walked through the house and took lots of pictures.

I am not looking forward to all of the work we have ahead of us, but I am looking forward to getting into the new house.

Ending the Girl Scout Year

We ended our Girl Scout year with a camping trip and lunch at the Corvette Diner. Unfortunately, our coleader and her daughter are moving to Tennessee, and will not be returning next year.

Since the straw ban, the Corvette Diner started using sticks in hair.
