We started our trip at the La Brea Tar Pits. It's been on our list of things we wanted to do for a while. Kailani and I enjoyed it, but Zach was bored.
Before heading home, we stopped for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, which is always a favorite.

Trip to LA
Today we decided to take a trip to LA. Kailani has been saving her money for a while, and she finally found something she wanted to spend it on....the 2020 American Girl doll of the year. The AG doll of the year is a competitive cheerleader from southern CA.
We started our trip at the La Brea Tar Pits. It's been on our list of things we wanted to do for a while. Kailani and I enjoyed it, but Zach was bored.
Afterwards, we headed to The Grove Mall to shop at the American Girl Store. Kailani was able to purchase the doll and lots of other accessories. Zach had some money saved up too, and her bought the skateboarding set. With the 15% military discount, the kids were able to get everything they wanted.
