Apex Run

Today the kids participated in the Apex Run at school. The school does the Apex Run every year as a fundraiser. Zachary ran 45 laps and Kailani ran 44. Luckily with my flexible schedule, I was able to watch.

Pole Dancing Class

We started off the day with a great Saturday workout at Maxim.

Then, we celebrated my birthday with a pole dancing class. It was a lot of fun and a very tough workout.

We finished up the day with lunch afterwards.

Lots of Random Stuff

When we converted the movie room into an office for me, the kids lost their movie/game room. We decided to have an entertainment center built into the closet so the kids still had a place for movies and game. At the same time, we finally had something done with the downstairs closet. A long time ago we broke down the entertainment center and planned to add a door. That turned out to be harder than we thought because the door opening was a custom size. We are happy with the way things turned out.

*We did have a door put on this closet, but I haven't taken a photo yet.

Kailani got a cheer mat for her birthday. She spends a lot of time outside practicing her tumbling moves.

The kids finished up the summer program at the Disney Store. This year they collected a patch each week they participated in a summer event.

Hiking and Full Moon Yoga

Today was the first day I started my new work schedule (Tuesday through Saturday), so I went on a hike with the girls. We had breakfast together after.

My friend Amy teaches a full moon yoga class once per month. Kailani and I enjoy going together.

Before yoga started, Kailani practiced her front walkovers.

Kids' Day at Del Mar

Today was kids' day at the Del Mar Racetrack. We've gone to this event a few times already. The kids enjoy the activities and the horse races. I think they enjoy the free stuffed horse the most!

Balboa 8 Miler

It's been a while since I've run a race. Today a bunch of us ran the Balboa 8 miler. I like this race because it's a little road and a little trail.

After the race we got together at Great Maple for breakfast to celebrate Geraldine's Birthday. Unfortunately, we did not take any photos:(
Tonight a bunch of us went out to celebrate the end of a challenge that a few of the girls participated in at Maxim.

A Little of This and a Little of That...

Zachary got a new teacher a few days after school started. Apparently some of the parents complained to the principal that his original teacher's Spanish was not very good. His teacher was moved to TK and the TK teacher (who had taught 3rd grade last year) was moved to 3rd grade. Here is a photo with his new teacher:

The dogs are still getting used to the new schedule. Sometimes I have to lock the out of my office so they aren't disruptive. They wait at the bottom of the stairs until I let them back up.

The kitties are getting used to the new office arrangement too.

I missed Maxim while I was away for work. I love the fun Saturday workouts.
