Tree Lighting

This morning we dropped the shoe boxes off at one of the drop off locations.

Then, we headed up to MCAS Miramar. Jason and Zachary got a hair cut. Zachary is so grown up now. He told the lady exactly how he wanted his hair cut.

After the hair cuts we hung around for the Christmas tree lighting.

Packing Shoe Boxes

Today the kids packed shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. They really enjoy making boxes for other kids.

Family Art Night

This month our school hosted 2 family art nights. I was in charge of planning and organizing the events. The kids were able to attend and participate in the art night tonight. We had a woman come from a local art studio and she taught the kids how to draw with pastels. The kids really enjoyed themselves. We had 77 participants tonight.

Regionals

Today was the regional cheer competition. We were up bright and early to do hair and get all dolled up. The girls did awesome!!

They placed 3rd, although we all agree that they deserved better than that. It was a great season and we are looking forward to many more.

QBowl

This morning I joined Fit Miss for a special workout in honor of one of the girl's daughters who has a brain tumor. Last year on the day before Thanksgiving, she went in for an MRI and the very next day she was having surgery for a brain tumor. The family has gone through a lot over the past year. The husband is in the Navy and is deployed for a year.
We held the workout to raise money to be able to prepare and serve a dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House supports families who have children in the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House helped Maddie's family so much over the past year that we want to give back. We will be cooking and serving dinner to 175 people next Sunday.

This afternoon was the QBowl!! It's the 4th year the boys have made it to this Super Bowl of Youth Football. Unfortunately, we did not take home the 1st place trophy again. The boys lost to Los Toros 24-0.

Aj's Kids Crane

Every year we donate toys to Rady Children's Hospital at AJ's Kids Crane, which is set up in the Ikea parking lot. AJ goes up in a crane and stays up there until he collects 100,000 toys.

Celebration

Today I jumped out of bed, thinking I was going to be late for my race. Luckily, I had just forgotten to set my clock back 1 hour and I was right on time.
The race was a 10K. It was the first race I did (without the kids) since August. I need to get back in the routine of doing at least one race per month to prep for the triple crown next year.
