Chula Vista Fun Run

This morning we ran the Chula Vista Fun Run 5K. This was the first time we did a race without the stroller. Zachary did okay for a little while and then hitched a ride on my back for a while.

This afternoon, Kailani had a birthday party to go to. We all went along and enjoyed the food and games at John's Incredible Pizza Place.

Anniversary Dinner

Tonight we were able to celebrate our anniversary a day early. We went for dinner at Roy's like we do every year. My mom called the restaurant (like she does every year) to wish us a Happy Anniversary from PA.

Operation Thin Mint Sendoff

This morning we went to the Operation Thin Mint sendoff on board the USS Midway. There was a ceremony to celebrate all of the Girl Scout cookies that will be send to deployed military. All of the girls who sold at least 2013 boxes of cookies got to ride in on helicopters. The girl who sold the most sold 4500 boxes. I don't know how they do it! We had a hard enough time selling 250 boxes.

Kailani and I went to a Royal Princess Party at church. There was a princess to take pictures with, mother's day crafts, face painting, lunch from Chick-fil-A, and a princess movie. We had a nice time. The church really does some neat activities.

For our third event of the day, we attended a pirate birthday party for two boys whose mom I work with. The kids loved it! They had a board on the ground so the kids could "walk the plank." Since we are having a pirate party for Zachary in a few weeks, we were able to get some ideas.

Doug Unplugged

Tonight we went for another story time at The Yellow Book Road. Apparently it is screen free week, where everyone is supposed to turn off all electronics and do something else. The kids acted like this was such a crazy suggestion! The owner of the book store read a few books that were written specifically for screen free week. One of the books was called "Doug Unplugged" about a robot that unplugged and learned so much during that time. The kids enjoyed story time even though there was only one other family there.

Poor Gabby:(

Gabby has been sick lately and I just felt something wasn't right. Jason took her to the vet on Tuesday and we found out today that she has kidney disease:( I haven't been able to talk to the vet, but we are going to change her diet and monitor her blood pressure. I hope she will be able to live many more years.

Toothless;)

Kailani lost her fourth tooth yesterday!
This morning when I got in the car to go to work, I realized I had a flat tire! Luckily my car lets me know when air pressure is low. This time it was 16, so I knew something was wrong. It turns out that a screw was in my tire. I took it to the dealer and got a new tire, so it's as good as new. I am starting to think someone is out to get me though. This is the 6th tire I have replaced in the 3 years we've owned the car. There has been a nail, screw, bolt, etc. in my tire 4 times. I feel like it's more than just bad luck. Hopefully the streak is over.
